Every Friday is something different – drag performances, cabarets, strip spelling bees and everything in between. October 31, 2021. Annual event during which three blocks of Church Street close 6-11pm for five hours of costumed revelry and buckets of eye-candy. Though temperature don’t always go with more daring outfit choices, the street is soon packed with thousands of scantily attired locals and visitors, making this Canada’s largest Halloween event.
January 19-30, 2022. Toronto Fringe. A hybrid series of in-person and digital productions. The festival will be presented at Daniels Spectrum’s Ada Slaight Hall. Ten productions will be presented in total: six productions in the Theatre Performance Series and four productions in the Digital Performance Series.
Mid-February, 2022 (TBC). Canada’s longest-running new works festival transforms Buddies into a hotbed of experimentation. Artists explore new possibilities in theatre/ dance/ music/ performance art. Rhubarb is the place to see the most adventurous ideas in performance and to catch your favourite artists venturing into uncharted territory. No two nights of Rhubarb are ever alike.
